The hotel is well kept, bright and pleasant. The room cleaning staff were very efficient and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Bed was comfortable. Lobby was neat. Walkable to trendy Yaletown. Underground parking was secure and easy to access.
Disliked: No power outlets worked in room. Neither of the bed side table plugs worked, wall plug in entrance didnt work. Desk plugs did not work. Had to charge phone and laptop in bathroom. Maintenance came and installed an extension cable at desk for power from hard to access plug. Bathroom fan was noisy until i figured out how to disable dial on wall. Room smelled like cooked food from restaurant below and hallway on 3rd floor was stinky. Construction and road closures made it difficult to navigate with ride share. Had to Hotspot my internet from phone as I could not connect to free wifi.

Liked: Location is good. Room size was great. Staff is helpful and efficient.
Disliked: Unpleasant smell in bathroom. Mold coming from the drain??? Construction outside was bothersome. Hard to get to the hotel if you didn't know the "tricks" for parking in the area or for being picked up.

Pleasant

Liked: The guy who checked us out early morning was very very kind and sweet. The shower in the room had nice temperature and pressure.
Disliked: We booked a King room with whirlpool, because of the beautiful photos we saw online of the in room jacuzzi tub. Those photos were a lie and we were in what they refer to as a pent house … it was a tiny room with king bed and bathroom and the tub happened to have jets. We didn’t use it as it was not like what we saw and were expecting online. My partner is 6’6 so we long to stay in these jacuzzi suite rooms because usually it’s a large tub and he can actually fit in it so to find out it was a regular sized bathtub ruined the entire purpose of why we booked. I didn’t have a credit card for the deposit which is my own fault - but i’ve worked at hotels before and know that you can do cash or debit it’s just very much not preferred. I’ve actually never had an issue about this before. I was shocked that the deposit was $100 more than what was being paid for the room. The room was also prepaid so I didn’t think there would be such a massive deposit for 1 night. I know it’s a risk but also I wouldn’t get the deposit back until they checked the room so I was definetly coming back for it. It seemed a bit outrageous to me. Also, we wanted to step out and it was raining so most places i’ve stayed have complimentary umbrellas. They had a fancy system to borrow an umbrella but of course! You need to have a credit card. Idk overall it is not a nice enough place to have all these money grabs. The biggest disappointment by far was the room. The photos online should be updated to reflect what the “whirlpool” suites are actually. We stayed in the room total for maybe 4 hrs because we went to a show & then out for the night and checked out super early as we just wanted to go home at that point. The gentleman who checked us out at 4:30-5am was very very nice.

Liked: The hotel was easy to navigate. We enjoyed our room, the beds were comfortable and the layout was nice! The customer service was exceptional! We enjoyed our stay at Grand Park and recommend anyone to stay there!
