Disliked: Not a great selection on lunch menu! Just wanted a simple sandwich and given there wasn’t much choice in Pauanui…

Exceptional

Rainforest Tree House

Liked: Small private chalet in the rainforest. Heated bathroom floors were a nice touch.
Disliked: The shower water pressure was weak, and the shower curtain had seen better days. Parking is available on site, but down a steep hill. Resort would transport you to/from your room by golf cart upon request.

Quiet, Peacefull and Tranquil

Liked: The surroundings this hotel is situated in is unique, out of the way from noise pollution and listening to the birdsong was amazing, you really are in the trees
Disliked: Due to the site been in the bush the pathways are littered with fallen vegetation which needs to be cleared, understanding this is a task but in the wet this could pose a problem

Great stay in unique settings

Liked: Unique setting. Friendly staff. Close to the beach and walks
Disliked: The room had a lot of bugs which is kind of the nature of being in bushes. The gym could use an upgrade and also has a lot of bugs. None of that are deal breakers, but the stay would be perfect otherwise.
