Great resort, worth revisiting
Liked: This was my second stay in the resort in the last two months. Everything was great, but I especially liked the fact that within 10-minutes there is a mall where you can shop and eat in a number of fine restaurants.

Good
Liked: Overall the property and restaurants were nice. We enjoyed the pool.Had a very nice dinner at La Zona and excellent cocktails at the bar in La Zona. The bar tender that night in January 12th was a charming and knowledgeable young woman. Great service and was doing a wonderful job training her co workers as well.
Disliked: The beds and pillows were uncomfortable at best. It was also often hard to get our room cleaned. We would make sure we left the no service required plague was not on the door and come back to find it had been out on. The morning on check in I paid the hotel stay bill in full however at check in we were required to pay an additional $1700 in incidentals. I understand wanting guests to spend money on property but $250 a day is a hard pill to swallow and $1700 can put a damper on your family vacation. You end up spending much more time on property than exploring the town you are vacationing in. In addition to the $30 per day you need to pay to self park (considering you don't leave and come back, then you will have multiple charges) we were charged for valet every day even though we only used it once. There was a huge convention on the property from January 10-12 and we often could not get parking or get into the restaurants on property during those days so not only did we spent $250 per day during that time but we couldn't get into a property restaurant to use it and had to stay out tired and dirty from the day exploring so we could find a place to eat because there was no parking. Overall I would say the $5500 plus we spent for 7 nights would have been ok if these issues were resolved but given the circumstances I think it was a very steep bill for the experience and would not recommend.

Liked: Large resort with 7 pools and 2 jacuzzis and free bikes to rent. A very nice mall with supermarket and great restaurants (fish!!!) very close by. You can get a self-driving taxi Walmo to the airport (!!!), which is a surreal experience. A very nice lady from the concierge desk saved me from missing the flight out of Phoenix, which I am very grateful for
Disliked: It is impossible to get to the spa if you just want to use the saunas they have. This costs 40 dollars per day but they will NOT let you in unless you pay for a massage/facial/salt room, which is 3 or 4 times more than the 40-dollar Day Pass. Nice ladies at the desk tell you to come at 8:30am to get your Pass. But once you come, every day for 5 days, the Pass is not available unless, of course, you pay for additional services. And you can not make a reservation for the Day Pass for the next day. That’s trickery, in my book.

Disliked: “I had an extremely disappointing stay at the Hyatt in Scottsdale. The hotel was under renovation, which severely impacted the overall experience. The service was terrible—there was no staff available at the pool, and breakfast was served in a conference room, which felt far from the standard you’d expect. The in-room dining menu had very few options, leaving much to be desired. To make matters worse, check-in begins at 4 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m., severely limiting the time guests can fully enjoy the hotel. Many of the pool services only start at 11 a.m., so for us, staying just one day, the experience was hardly worth it. For the price and the Hyatt name, I expected much better. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here during renovations.”
