Grand Hôtel du Midi Montpellier - Opéra Comédie sits on Place de la Comédie in the historical center of Montpellier opposite the Opera house. Best place to stay in...

Liked: Gorgeous old hotel in the best location in Montpellier. Very helpful staff. Nice big room with a beautiful view of the Opera House.
Disliked: Decor was good but not great. Designer who did it was being too trendy.

Loved the location and comfortable...

Liked: Excellent location and spacious room, with view of Place de la Comedie. Near trams, helpful staff. Large comfortable bed, daily fresh bottles of water. Good sofa and space to relax. Good bathroom with bathtub and integrated shower.
Disliked: Hotel has been poorly renovated, so lost some of its 19 century style, including weird metal tables in bedroom. Only one bedside table other side miniscule so virtually useless. Breakfast mediocre. Had to ask for larger cups in room as there was a kettle and coffee machine, plus tea bags, but only tiny coffee cups
