Beautiful property; room ok

Liked: Beautiful, opulent property. Room was comfortable.
Disliked: Room was very sparse; other than the fabulous view, we could have been in a Holiday Inn. The furniture was in no way like the downstairs part of the hotel; it was like we entered another hotel. We had an oceanfront room that was not cheap, but the furnishings were cheap. We waited 20 minutes for our car one day when we wanted to run an errand and just gave up and went back to our room. Restaurant and food were great. Gift shop was never open one time in 3 days. Very disappointing.

We stayed at the Galvez...

Liked: Location, good as always.We didn't eat at the hotel.We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Disliked: The cost was outrageous. There was no place to sit, in the room, except the bed. Not a great view.
