Comfortable and relaxing

Liked: Enjoyed staying near the river and also close to my daughter’s college while visiting her. Very beautiful property.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was small, the beds were small and lumpy. For the extortionate price for one night it could only be described as average so disappointing really.

Good but could be better.

Liked: Great location, nice hotel, very convenient for city centre.
Disliked: The hotel is let down by the poor servicing of the rooms which was either non existent - we had to ask on 2 afternoons for our room to be serviced as it hadn’t been despite us being out all day - or when it was, the bare minimum was done. Shower gel in the fixed container empty for 2 days, used glass and teabags / water bottles not replaced etc etc. Also felt most staff inexperienced and no recognition of us in the breakfast room even when we’d been there for a few days with the same staff etc - just too many of the little things that separate average service from excellent service.
