Great place to stay; staff very friendly and helpful - they arranged a van to concert venue, both drop off and pick up. Beacon is a great restaurant for dinner. Will stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.

The staff was great. Every person we talked to that worked there was extremely helpful. Took the shuttle to the venue we went to. Wish they drove a bit later as we had to take a cab back. I like that it has restaurants and bars right at the same site.
Liked: Bed was comfortable and room was quiet.
Disliked: Bathroom seemed like it needed painting.

A decent middle of the road hotel.
Liked: New decor.
Disliked: Older property, small rooms.

The prior comments in reviews set my expectations a bit higher than they should have been for a 3 star hotel. Location is great for University of Minnesota on campus activities. Felt the cleanliness issues were the most concerning.
Liked: Decor was updated. Bathrooom was refreshed with nice finishes. Hotel lobby was nice and inviting.
Disliked: Room was on third floor and faced the air conditioner for the entire hotel. It was liked being in a dungeon. Sheets and one washcloth had stains on them which made us question the cleanliness. The beds were old and sagging and not very comfortable.

Liked: Beautiful lobby; modern, chic rooms; great staff and location. A perfect stay!

Would prefer softer beds, but the place was nice. Good to have Starbucks and Applebee's connected to hotel. Parking (an extra $15) was close and convenient. WiFi was nice. Computer access should be free. Friendly front desk staff and bellhop. Would stay again, but would bring my featherbed for on top of the mattress.
Liked: Nice decor; lots of comfy pillows; fridge in room was nice.
Disliked: Beds were hard; rooms were small.

Knew nothing about the area and picked the closest hotel to the Sports Pavillion. Excellent location. Nice adjoining Starbucks.
Liked: Friendly staff. Clean, quiet room.
Disliked: No real negatives.
