Disappointing

Liked: It was rated a 3 star property and we have had good luck staying at similar ones.
Disliked: The inn was empty on arrival. We let ourselves in and found our room. My wife found the place musty and not very welcoming. We went for a short walk and to be honest not well located for any longer walks. Returning to the inn my wife was uncomfortable about staying in such a large house by ourselves. When we went for dinner would be returning to a dark unfamiliar place? At that point we decided to leave after we found a budget hotel closer to town.

Extremely beautiful and incredible collection...

Liked: It is an incredible living collection of history, situated right in the river and the owner is lovely.
Disliked: I was only there to sleep so it was a very brief stay.

Liked: Our stay at the Governor’s Mansion was wonderful! The architecture and furnishings made us feel transformed to an earlier time. The host was so knowledgeable about the history of the region and so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Liked: The buildings history and all of the beautiful antiques. The room was very spacious. We enjoyed watching the sunset across the water.

Disliked: two of our lightbulbs in room did not work well.
