A great hotel for a...
Liked: Room was good as was the breakfast. Location was excellent. Parking available.
Disliked: The parking was not pre-bookable, I would liked to have been sure of a parking spot on arrival

Liked: reception staff and bar staff were very good
Disliked: Mould on bathroom wallsWater stains on bathroom floor where it had not been cleaned properly.Supposedly hot food at breakfast was stone cold just ten minutes after opening time.On second day Staff running around like headless chickens complaining they did not expect so many people for breakfast !!

Handy location for sightseeing but...
Liked: Good location and clean room.
Disliked: Francis! Miserable and rude. The hotel was quiet but he still made us feel like we were a burden ordering a drink in the bar.The spa is tiny and it took ages for everything to heat up to use it.

Liked: The location was excellent for the Winter Gloed lights trail and markets. It's an impressive building and the reception team were very helpful. Breakfast was good and happy hour got our evening started nicely. The room 223 was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the big bath. Good water pressure and very clean. We were able to use the hotel parking which was easy to use.
Disliked: The barman who served us on Wednesday 11/12/24 at 5pm-ish was very rude. My friend and I were both spoken to in an abrupt way by him, no smile or warmth, then he completely ignored her and served a couple who came in after we had been waiting at the bar. I was asked "Yes...what do you want" with a look of impatience and annoyance that I had asked for a drink. Friendlier bar staff would be a great addition to a lovely hotel!
