The owner/hostess was friendly and helpful; the hotel was spotlessly clean; the pub is quaint with a nice atmosphere and the breakfast was excellent.

Liked: The property was a beautiful old Inn and the staff were very friendly. Good value.
Disliked: The bar closed at 10pm and breakfast didn’t start until 8.30, which was too late for us, so we missed out. A king sized bed would have been preferred, but on the whole good value.

Liked: lovely hosts, great steak pie and breakfast, plenty of parking, comfortable room. Great place with dog.

It’s a nice independent hotel...

Liked: The food at dinner was excellent, especially as they were catering for a large group of us ( 27) The room was comfortable and quite well appointed .Breakfast was also excellent
Disliked: The corkage charge for our celebration drinks was eye watering

A very comfortable, relaxing stay...

Liked: We received a warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for the lady there during our whole stay: she was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable; the bathroom was large with a lovely shower over the bath - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Breakfast was delicious and served to order, so it was lovely and hot!
Disliked: Not a major problem, but the accommodation is in an annex to the pub and therefore you have to go outside to get to the dining room. It isn't very far at all, but we weren't aware of this from the description.

A well run traditional pub...

Liked: The food was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The old part of the pub has a really good atmosphere. The location is quiet with no noisy roads nearby, planes flying overhead, etc.
Disliked: The bed was a little hard for my liking. A traditional bitter on draught in the bar would have been nice, although the cider was very good.
