The Golden Lion Hotel has welcomed guests including royalty for more than 200 years. The Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote a poem on a hotel window frame a plaque commemorating this is located on the hotel's front. Located in Stirling city center it has free parking a traditional bar and a restaurant serving Scottish beef and lamb. Liked: Location
Disliked: The shower took very long time to heat up. The furniture is very old. I was woken by the housekeeper at 08:30 am after been in a wedding party. Couldn’t get back to sleep after.

Liked: Went with a group as we were doing the NC500, no where to park our cars unless we parked far away in unsecured parking, we all ended up having to stay at a premier inn

We had a nice stay

Liked: The hotel was in a good location, furniture in the room could do with an update,the staff were all very friendly and it was a very good breakfast
Disliked: The furniture in the room needs to be updated,and there wasn't any WiFi in bedroom

Superb

Liked: The location was amazing! The hotel rooms were clean and well equipped. They also had a bathtub - which was a real treat after trying to shave your legs in many stand up showers. The buffet breakfast had a lot of options and was very good.
