Golden Fleece: Shambles suite

Liked: Our room was fantastic, the Shambles suite, large and comfortable with a comfy sofa. Coffee machine and kettle, plus plenty of tea, coffee, milk. Beautifully decorated and furnished in character with the age of the building.The private bathroom was beautiful, with a bath and shower. Bar downstairs was lively, plus, there are plenty of other pubs and bars to visit in the vicinity after a day of walking about York.Staff were brilliant in all ways.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the toilet would not flush away, no matter how many times the chain was pulled. We spoke to staff about this, and it was taken in board well, the issue to be brought up with the manager.

Liked: Excellent full breakfast and evening meal. Attentive friendly staff. Superb central location (next to The Shambles) great for exploring York. Characterful room with all facilities in historic building.
Disliked: Coming home!

Incredible and a great experience...

Liked: It was quite easy to get round York, as it was right next to the shambles. Has amazing interior decor. And super comfortable.
