Clean, quiet and well located

Liked: Relatively quiet hostel, well located on the waterfront esplanade and close to the reef terminal for boat trips to the Great Barrier Reef. Clean and the staff were very friendly.

Liked: Location close to shops, restaurants and reef terminal. The man who I was first greeted by seemed annoyed by my presence but all other female staff were friendly and helpful. Dorms and facilities were quite spacious and relatively clean but I did spot small roaches under the bed on the last night so something to be aware of.

Liked: Great location. The room was nice and spacious. It is very central in front of the public pool and close to the ferry/boat terminal. We enjoyed the terrace with the beautiful views.
Disliked: It would be great if we could open the windows for fresh air
