We had a great visit

Exceptional

Superb

Liked: Everything. Beautiful. Lovely space to stay in. Great rooms and fantastic food.
Disliked: The weather! But they cannot control that.

Exceeded our expectations!

Liked: Everything about the resort is top notch- from the friendly and helpful staff, to the rooms, food (breakfasts in the gorgeous river room and dinner and lunch at Palmer’s). The location and amazing views were perfection. The whole family loved our stay and we would definitely come back.

A nice mid week getaway

Beautiful stay at a unique...

Liked: The staff, location and facilities were beautiful. We stayed over one night and it happened to be Mother's Day, so we were slightly disappointed that there were no spa appointments, falconry or restaurant reservations available for the pullman car when we were there. On the plus side, they upgraded our room and we ate a very nice dinner at the more casual restaurant and we were close to downtown Galway so we enjoyed a farmer's market and shops in Galway.

Fantastic

Liked: Excellent service all around, fantastic staff. Highlight was the falconry it was such a great experience and he was so fun and entertaining

Should of stayed Longer

Liked: Staff are so attentive + friendly. Facial was so relaxing.
Disliked: The bathroom door, fire door, was very heavy + I felt dangerous the way it would slam shut. A child could have their fingers taken off them.

Disappointed, won't stay here again.

Liked: The room was very clean and the hotel is only a 15 minute drive into the City.
Disliked: We have stayed in many quietly luxurious 5 star hotels. Despite the price we paid, this was not one of them. We do not flaunt our wealth, and perhaps because of this, we experienced a poor quality stay. We asked for a quiet room at the end of a hallway. Not supplied. The bed was hard and uncomfortable . There was no choice of pillows, they were not great. The bathroom door spring was so tight I could hardly open it and it would slam back really loud in the night waking my husband every time. The coffee maker did not work and leaked water everywhere. We asked for a new one and never got one the entire stay. There were no tissues in the bedroom. We ordered room service and the burger meat was of poor quality with inedible gristle.At breakfast we asked for more coffee and it was not brought. The next day we asked for a pot each instead, and we only got one. I never write a poor review without giving the business the chance to make things right. When we checked out, the receptionist promised to have management contact us about these issues but nobody has reached out to us. It has been three days. This could have been a lovely stay if the staff paid attention to the small details that make a huge difference.
