Not worth the money, stay...

Liked: The hotel does a great job of keeping with that turn of the century, haunted hotel theme. The lobby is filled with great antique decor. The dimly lit hallways give off a nice little spooky vibe. The staff is very friendly and the bartender was great.
Disliked: The sounds of a rooster crowing at 4am in the morning is not the wake up call I wanted. The queen bed room is very, very tiny. And not very clean. We found cob webs on the corner of the ceilings that I'm sure were not part of the Spooky decorations. More like lazy cleaning. Also our bedsheets were stained. At $200 at night, not worth the money. Better off staying in Ventura, closer to the beach.

Liked: Nice looking and near restaurants in downtown Santa Paula. Has its own restaurant and music next to lobby. Missed out on ghost tours, not available yet.
Disliked: Kept having to get rid of flies in the room. No refrigerator in the room as requested, but staff moved one in later. Parking lot is not greatly lit at night and some homeless kept asking for handouts in the back of the hotel which is the only entrance after 10pm at night.
