All round a very enjoyable...

Liked: This was the latest of many visits to Inverness for business and pleasure. Most times we have stayed at the Glen Mhor and every time it gets better and better. This time we had a lovely room close to the restaurant overlooking the river Ness. Staff great as was breakfast plus we enjoyed beer from their new brewery. Now we have an electric car a charger would have been a benefit for us otherwise everything just perfect for us.

Lovely hotel would recommend, if...

Liked: Absolutely Beautiful property, great location, tastefully presented relaxed and welcoming ! The restaurant was lovely overlooking the river and the food was superb. My room was lovely tastefully decorated, large and spacious room, comfy bed, great pillows. Fantastic value for money.
Disliked: I am a solo female traveller and as I am away from home quite alot with my work I am always safety conscious. Unfortunately my room was in a block where it was necessary to walk ( albeit a short distance) in the dark from reception, and also to the restaurant, this made me a tad nervous. Also my room although lovely, was ground floor, with a huge window, but literally on the public walkway ( see Photos showing my room Location and the walkway) so unfortunately as it was early evening when I arrived I was forced to close my curtains as with the lamps on every one that passed looked in ! ( human nature) but gave me zero privacy. Similarly, in the morning, I was unable to open my curtains and enjoy the view with a cuppa. Until I was showered, dressed and ready to leave which given the beautiful location, wasn’t ideal. Finally again as I am a lone female traveller, there wasn’t a phone in the room to contact reception which is a must for me in case anything should happen. My tv remote wasn’t working and I had to go out and walk outside in the dark ( albeit well lit) to get to reception to get this sorted.Had I been here with my partner then most of these things wouldn’t have been an issue ( apart from the ground floor position) but it wasn’t ideal for my current travelling situation.

On the River Ness, Good...

Liked: We stayed in the Ness Bank building and had a view of River Ness. Room was spacious and cozy. Short walk to the city centre of Inverness. Breakfast was delicious and simple enough. Dinner service was also great, best Scotch Egg we had during our stay in Scotland.
Disliked: Only one 'complaint', parking lot was a bit difficult to try and park in during the evening. It fills up as it gets darker. Aside from that, everything else was great.
