Stylish and centrally located, but...
Liked: The location and the building itself is beautiful. There are pieces of artwork everywhere in the building and it’s very central to shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and grocery. The restaurant and drinks were very good as well. The staff were courteous.
Disliked: I thought it was extremely expensive for the amenities offered. While it was very stylish, the room was extremely bare bones. There were no extra amenities either, no balconies or gardens, no laundry, hot tub. For me, I rather have amenities than artwork. While I used the historical elevator once or twice, it felt weird requiring a staff member any time I wanted to go for a smoke, pick up Uber Eats, get back late, etc. They would always make small talk. Sometimes you just want to go to your room without an interaction. The elevator is cool but I definitely relied on the staircase just to avoid socializing, and that was inconvenient.

Very good
Liked: Excellent location. Really a stone's throw away from so many cool places. The hotel itself is also really cool - it's a historic building with the only functioning manual elevator in Toronto. This is a double-edged sword though; this means that the elevator always needs an operator to be used, and they need to be called if they're not around. For facilities, it was pretty standard. The comforter was VERY warm, we actually had to lower the thermostat because we were too warm. The smart TV had an option for YouTube that didn't work, but Netflix seemed to work. Apparently this is common, and they offered to move us to another room, but that day they had to had a full house so they offered us a free late check-out instead. A very nice gesture from caring staff. The restaurant on the ground floor is also quite good.

Loved the place! Looks cool,...
Liked: Great design with a wonderful artistic taste, and a beautiful duality of modern and victorian! Comfy bed and linens. Nice dimable mood lighting in the room. Different activies in common rooms on each floor (2nd - spot to eat with balcony, 3rd - pool table, 4rd - library, chess, and coffee). And good coffee too (although it is out in the common area, robe slippers are provided, so all good!). Would stay again!
Disliked: Our only complaint is we wish there was a mini-fridge in the room. The staff was nice in saying would could use the common area mini-fridge, where the coffee cream is kept. It did the trick, but we felt a little uncomfortable to store it in a public place where someone may swipe it or cleaning staff may toss it unknowingly. Neither happened, and our food was fine, but it just caused us a bit of awkward worry. A microwave would also be great in the 2nd floor common room.

A little gem in western...
Liked: Beautiful heritage building with an awesome old-fashioned elevator.Great common spaces, including free coffee all day.High quality food served in on-site restaurant
Disliked: Higher pet fees than advertised. A per pet per day fee is just not acceptable, when there is only a one time fixed cost for extra cleaning.Rooms are a bit small for comfort on a multi-night stay.

Charming
Liked: The location, very close to amenities and the old vibe look of the hotel was amazing, they also have a pool table and the elevator it gives the vibe of a museum, the food was great too and the staff.
Disliked: Although not a big deal the parking is offsite, and we got a ticket, but the hotel took care of it right away, I would said they went above and beyond.
