Warm, comfortable and elegant

Liked: Very comfortable rooms with lots of space (we booked the junior suite). The bartenders were fantastic and the staff overall very helpful. Loved the lounge area for relaxing in the evening, it felt homely and not at all pretentious. Highly recommend the spa treatments. I left my coats behind and they sent them on immediately. Would come back.
Disliked: It is an old building so understandably there is no climate control so it gets a little warm. Did not realise the hot tub was outside; some shrubbery would be good to seclude it from view on the right. There was one Venetian blind in our room which let in light, better to match to the blackout ones. Took over an hour to get our bags as they were super busy. Turn down could be a little more thoughtful. However none of this took away from an overall fab experience!

Amazing and excellent value

Liked: The rom was perfect and the breakfast had plenty of choice to very good standard The tasting menu on Valentine’s Day was served and explained excellent and tasted perfect
Disliked: Only fault was wish could had a window to open for some air at night there was some French doors but it was to cold to leave them open but it wasn’t a deal breaker and will be back again

A very nice experience

Liked: The room was very comfortable and the hot tub outside was in a discrete area. The grounds were very nice at the hotel and the staff all very friendly.
Disliked: I feel for the price, the facilities could have been better in the room. We booked a room with a hot tub so did use it most of the day through to the night however would have appreciated a more ‘modern’ facility room.I also did not like that there was an additional charge to pay at the end for service which was separate to the staff service within the restaurant/bar that we had paid.
