Liked: I wanted to relax, or at least I did. It's a nightclub, and at night it's impossible to sleep. This information isn't available anywhere on Booking.com. I had to ask to change rooms. I had paid to share with three other people, but ended up sharing with seven. Unpleasant.

Liked: The location of the hostel is good and the amenities are great (i.e pool, bar, laundry and kitchen).
Disliked: The room we stayed in was not clean and there was a distinct smell of mould. On closer inspection the entire air conditioning vent was covered in mould. We asked to move room, however unfortunately the second room was just as bad. This is a very expensive hostel considering the noise from the club and dirtiness of the room... don't waste your money and stay somewhere else!

Liked: I liked that the rooms are ensuite, so no fighting for showers or hot water. It’s social without being chaotic, the place is setup in a way that makes meeting people easy. Rooms were a good size and were cleaned every day

Liked: If you’re travelling through FNQ, chances are you’ll end up at Gilligan’s. There’s a reason everyone stays here, it’s got everything you need and then some
