Slightly disappointing in some aspects

Liked: It was private & well appointed
Disliked: Restaurant was over priced, paid $65 for 1/2 an eggplant and as a vegan was provided only one option despite pre booking. No additional care. It was our 30th wedding anniversary, would have been a nice touch to have a card and bottle of Bubbles on arrival given it’s a vineyard. For the room cost a bowl of fresh fruit would have been nice as orchards all around area. For $900 per night to be provided with one coffee sachet was underwhelming. We had a better meal from the Gastropub in Arrowtown for a fraction of the cost compared to the lodge restaurant. Also felt the staff in the restaurant were not dressed to the level one would expect for the price of the meal. One would expect high end uniforms. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and it was private, although we could hear the TV in the accommodation next door quite loudly.

Beautiful properties in a stunning...

Liked: The attention to detail within the Lodge is exceptional. Fabulous communication prior to our arrival as well. Gorgeous location between Wanaka and Queenstown. Absolutely worth staying overnight.
Disliked: Such a small issue, but I wish I'd known that the complimentary wine tasting wasn't the full experience. I'd rather have paid and spent our limited time at the winery tasting a greater selection of Gibbston's wines.
