The best Valentine's Day ever.

Liked: An amazing stay at a wonderful hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Perfect service and delicious food. The suite we stayed in was beautiful, warm and very clean. First time here but not the last.
Disliked: Nothing. Everything perfect.

Simply wonderful!

Liked: The hotel is simply beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The suites are unique across two floors and provided ample space for a family of four also travelling with a dog. Food was delicious and the local town was a lovely place to walk around and explore. We also stayed for dinner one evening which I cannot fault at all.
Disliked: There really isn't anything to dislike. If there was one thing I would share that would have been great for me personally would have been the opportunity to order some vegetarian alternatives at the fried breakfast station.

Comfortable and very welcoming

Liked: Staff are excellent, friendly and efficient. Food is well presented and delicious. Despite a power outage, stay was comfortable.
Disliked: We felt the room(s); no. 10, were a little uninspired in terms of decor, plain painted walls, no side table in living room. However, this is a small issue. We have known and visited for more than 30 years and shall visit again!

Nice rest stop

Liked: Location, Breakfast. The room, and bed were grand, especially the bathroom. Lovely staff. Nice grounds and gardens. The place had an old fashioned welcoming atmosphere.
Disliked: I liked almost everything. However the room was cold. Which was the last thing I needed as I'd cycled there, and really needed to warm up.There were 2 heaters in the main room and they simply were not on. The bathroom was lovely and warm though. Some modern touches would have been nice, such as USB charging ports, and instant WiFi connection (you have to fill out an online form.)

Idyllic location, beautiful venue for...

Liked: Warm welcome on arrival, beautiful view from room, best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted. Cosy log fires around the hotel and bar area. Janet the owner was so lovely. Staff were very professional and friendly. Loved the outside spaces with individual areas to relax including pizza ovens! Fabulous stay, will return in summer to see the grounds in their full glory!
Disliked: Nothing.
