Quiet area

Liked: The place was in the quiet area. The bed was comfy.The other guests were really nice to talk to during the breakfast.
Disliked: The instruction of check in was unclear, we needed to guess whether it's the right place and which room. The shared kitchen was not really clean.

Liked: We had a lovely comfy sleep, enjoyed the peace & quiet as well as the surrounding scenery. It was a short stay for us but we were satisfied. Breakfast was on offer but we chose to eat out before we left the city.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like, George was lovely and we would certainly stay with him again.

Amazing hospitality and place to...

Liked: George is an amazing person! So friendly and kind, with great communication with my family, always keen to check up on us making sure that we are doing well! Everything was well tidied when we checked in! The view is absolutely stunning from the garden, you can also clearly see Mount Taranaki on a clear day! Overall, an amazing experience, highly recommended!

Great stay around Taranaki

Liked: The nature around the house was amazing! There was a small quiet stream about 10 minute walk from the house, so peaceful!The place itself has a nice and cozy feeling, with great views of Mount Taranaki and the ocean outside. We loved this place!

Problem with shared bathroom even...

Liked: Breakfast was good and the eggs were lovely. Views from room of mountains lovely. Location very good. Comfy room. Well equiped kitchen. Playing pool was good.
Disliked: More attention needed to emptying bins in bathroom- full when we arrived and was not emptied for 3 days. No bin in bedroom. We expected to have sole use of the bathroom as advertised but this was not the case and other people used it for showers and toilet and my husband walked in on someone while they were sitting on the toilet ! Tea towels were not changed in kitchen until I looked around for a clean one. I left 3 wet and dirty ones on the kitchen top early one morning and they were still there in the evening.

Superb location and very comfortable...

Liked: Superb location. Yes, it's well outside town, but only 10 minutes or so by car and the views of the mountain and the sea (surprise bonus), the garden and the surrounding forest make this a very special place. George was a good host, easy going and made good recommendations for meal venues in town, sightseeing and activities. Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: A minor quibble, cleaning could be improved.
