Decent enough hotel next door to Golf Club

Liked: Once we had sorted out the room we stayed in we were quite comfortable there, and it was good for our dog. Please note - dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, although they were quite happy for us to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace. The room was adequate, although the towels were very thin so we asked for clean ones each day. Dinner in the restaurant was pricey and we didn't feel was value for money, but then that might just have been the location of the Cote d'Azur. Breakfast we felt was over-priced as quite poor and nothing replenished.
Disliked: When we arrived we were given a room upstairs and we asked if it was possible to have a downstairs room as we had a dog with us. We were told that they couldn't provide a downstairs room for the whole of our stay (4 nights). When we went to the room it was not clean - the toilet was filthy, and on the balcony table was an ashtray full (and I mean full) of cigarette ends. The view from the balcony was straight into a dense tree. We went down to reception and asked if there was another room. They were hesitant and sent another member of staff to check if what we'd said was true. When they confirmed it was we were given another room downstairs with an entrance to a wooded area outside, which was ideal for us and our dog. Funny how they had another room readily available when we were told only 5 minutes earlier that there wasn't one! Parking is secure, which is useful. Anyone can enter but you can only get your car out with a code.

Liked: The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Leah on the reception was extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for her. Think Booking. Com should be very clear that you most definitely need a car when staying there. The restaurant could have done with vegetarian options on the menu.
