historic building, but needs improvement

Liked: the front desk staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: housekeeping is unacceptable, every day was a new frustration with towels taken but not replaced, water bottles not replaced, carpet was not vacuumed in weeks, do not disturb door holder simply disappeared. zero extra effort.

Hotel Ancira Continues Being A...

Liked: Ancira Hotel is an institution. It has always been a great hotel over the many decades I’ve known it. I first stayed at the Ancira Hotel in the early 1970’s and it’s just as beautiful today as it was back then. The staff and service was great; very courteous and professional.

Disliked: Rude front desk n dirty sheets on the bed!

Very good

Liked: The building and lobby are marvellous, quite special. My bed was huge and incredibly comfortable.
Disliked: The hot water in the shower did not really work, only sporadically.
