Disappointing stay - not really...

Liked: Pros: - The staff of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. Friendly and efficient, with a customer-oriented and problem-solving mindset. - The location is absolutely perfect, in the middle of the center yet on a quiet street, waking distance from the most touristic places.- Food from the groundfloor restaurant was great (although menu was limited), highly recommend it. - Great recommendations on restaurants and attractions in the communications before arriving to the hotel
Disliked: Cons:- They are doing repairs in the external site of the building and yet they put us, initially, on a room that was next to the work - so extremely noise all day long. As I am 6+ months pregnant we explained resting is very important for me and they agreed in moving us to a different room on another floor and not facing the repairs. This was a great response from their staff team.- Breakfast is very disappointing for a 4* hotel: little selection and very basic things such as scrambled eggs are charged at an extra price (9 euros for scrambled eggs is insane). - Our room had stains in the floor, holes in the ceiling (as the lamps didn´t quite fit them) and a huge air conditioning problem. We had to go to reception and then call them another 2 times to get the aircon fixed and the system is really weird. I ended up very warm and not sleeping well for 2 nights until the problem was fixed (Again thanks to the great staff they have as they sent someone to our room to check it) - There are only 2 elevators which are also used by the staff so it takes forever, it´s nearly always busy and just very slow. As I am pregnant and not really into climbing stairs this was very inconvenient Overall this hotel is pricey for what it offers but I am assuming we just pay for the location.
