A very nice, affordable, and...

Liked: It was easy to find, very clean, and Susan her staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was decorated beautifully and the bed was covered with a heavy down comforter, a very heavy damask bedspread, and topped with a beautiful quilt. Perfect for our cold, Winter stay. A antique fan was in the room for those like me who use one year round. The room itself was warm (which was was appreciated after walking the town on a Winter's night), clean, and had a small kitchenette and an in-suite bathroom. There was on-street parking in front and to the east side of the lodge as well as a small private parking lot between the two buildings. Our complimentary breakfast was well cooked, tasty, and plentiful. There were even evening snacks provided consisting of a hot vegetable/lentil soup, an assortment of several cheeses, meats, nuts, candies, and crackers, and bite size iced lemon muffins.
Disliked: On Street parking is restricted from 2-6 a.m. if there is a snowfall for snow removal and there isn't enough free parking in the area behind the lodge if that happens. While our room had a private bathroom, some rooms share a bathroom, so be sure to carefully read the room description before booking.

Liked: We love their happy hour in the evenings and how comfortable the lodge is for eating, playing games and cozy with the fire!

Pleasant

Liked: Such a home away from home vibe and was very cozy. The staff was kind and the amenities were great.
Disliked: The breakfast and happy hour were amazing, along with the hot tub. The room was extremely hot, but better hot than cold. We did not realize when booking that the bathrooms would be shared hallway bathrooms and the shower water was cold, with the showers themselves covered with hair and grime.

Very relaxing warm atmosphere, ideally...

Liked: The old European feel of the property and authentic furnishings, but with bathroom upgrades. The breakfast and happy hours were a very nice touch; felt spoiled. The owner greeted us the evening of our check in and inquired how our stay was going the next day. All the staff were helpful. Someone was always around if we needed anything.

Exceptional

Liked: Feels like staying at your favorite aunt’s house. Cozy, good food, and welcoming staff.

Great historic lodge that though...

Liked: Great breakfast (they let you pick). Huge fan of the happy hour/wine tasting. Enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful historical decor. Great option if you're skiing nearby like Copper.
Disliked: Room could have been bigger.
