Great hotel for a city...

Liked: The hotel location to the Arlanda Express was great, literally a 2 minute walk. The hotel was lovely and the staff were all very friendly. Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed (even down to a microwave which we didn't use). The restaurant attached to the hotel gets extremely busy in the evenings so you need to book but the food was delicious. The included breakfast was very good - buffet style with something for everyone. Hotel was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit - Vasa Museum, Abba Museum, the Royal Palace and Nybroplan - we did also use the tram which was only a 5 minute walk away.
Disliked: Only thing we did notice was that there was no decaf coffee in the room and none available at the reception. Not a huge problem but maybe something for the hotel to think about having available.

Freys Hotel is a must...

Liked: The reception staff at Freys Hotel are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered.I had a time-consuming problem that Siri patiently helped me with, and I am most grateful. All the staff are genuinely caring, friendly and helpful.The room was exceptionally quiet and the teddy bears in each room are a lovely homely touch. For a small fee you can buy the one in your room and a large part of the proceeds goes to charity.The location is excellent, being a 5-minute walk from the railway station and it is very easy to find as it is sign-posted right outside the railway station.Breakfast was included in the price and has a wide selection of healthy food as well as vegetarian/vegan options.The room included a kitchen sink with a Nespresso machine, a microwave and a small fridge.The hotel is a short 20-minute walk to Gamla Stan. There are many shops and restaurants in Drottninggatan which is a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Freys Hotel is close to the elegant architectural buildings and upmarket shopping in Birger Jarlsgatan. I had planned to stay 3 nights but a cancelled flight from Australia cut short my stay to only 2 nights. I would love to visit Stockholm again and will definitely return to Freys Hotel.

Great value for the price

Liked: It's a great hotel for its price. Awesome swedish breakfast with a great variety of options. Located right near the railway station. Now I'm thinking all the other hotels are just over-priced.
Disliked: The bathroom was too small and cramped, the shower right near the toilet with no space in-between.
