Great hotel, comfortable stay, but...

Liked: I’ve been staying at the French Market Inn since 2009 with my family. This was my first time returning since the remodel with the new entrance and pool that has been added in the past 10 years. I love this hotel, it’s always comfortable and the perfect location! The desk staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable! I love the history of the inn and its occasional haunted stories.
Disliked: My one complaint was I had medication stolen from my room. I didn’t think to lock up my medication as it normally isn’t something I have to worry about. I take a dose and 1/2 of one of my prescribed medications. Every other day I have to cut my doses, each time I would go back into my pill cutter my medication was gone. It was very strange! I didn’t have a count on how many pills were in my bottle when I arrived but they were missing from my pill cutter. My husband and I were constantly in and out of our room. We would walk in the quarter and come back to rest before going out again, one afternoon my bag was moved from where I had left it in the morning. I thought it was weird but just moved it back. On our floor our trash and dirty towels had been left outside our door for a few hours, didn’t really bother me. But now I’m wondering if it was to mark our door? I never complain but this is my mental health medication! I’ve traveled here a lot, so to say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

Wonderful stay in vintage hotel.

Liked: Comfortable beds, lovely big room with great river view. Charming courtyard, close to all the restaurants and bars in the French Quater, but quiet.
Disliked: Nicer coffee would be great.

Great location

Liked: The location was great! Very close to everything but not in the middle of it all. The Inn is an oasis of calm and quiet in the French Quarter. Beautiful inner courtyard. The staff was very helpful.

Disliked: Stayed two nights and each morning I couldn’t get back in my room after going to breakfast. My key was no longer good - very inconvenient and frustrating.

Lovely and quiet hotel in...

Liked: This is a great location. Quiet, beautiful, and historic. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. The courtyard was charming. It's right next door to a great coffee shop. The staff was amazing.

Exceptional

Quiet and served the purpose....

Liked: I liked the location. It was right in between Cafe Du mond and bourbon street. It was quiet. I rested very well in the room.
Disliked: The room was pretty small.
