Great hotel , would return...

Liked: Great staff, spa was good, food was great
Disliked: Rooms slightly dated

Good weekend, average hotel experience.

Liked: Spa and location
Disliked: The facilities were a little dated. The lighting in the room was shocking, it was so dark in there- not enough lights at all! Way too hot in the hotel, we had air con but it didnt work so there was a fan but it was hardly worth it being on

Ok but wouldn’t stay there...

Liked: Reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Hotel was ok but could do with refurbishing as a bit tired and dated.
Disliked: Spa therapist was brilliant but the spa facilities were poor. Pool was great but peace and relaxation spoiled by workmen working around the pool area.Service at hotel bar was very poor on both nights of stay.

This hotel is certainly not...

Liked: Good parking.
Disliked: The hotel is tired and in need of urgent attention in many areas, especially the rooms. Carpets are badly stained and worn, the room chair coverings are completely worn out and look tatty. Only one bed side table lamp in our so called, individually designed and elegantly furnished double room. The first room we were offered stank of mould and there was damp on the inner bedroom walls. I asked to be moved to another bedroom without damp and mildew on the walls. We were moved to another room. Day Two…after showering and bathing morning and night, we left our damp used towels in the bath (as is protocol in a 4* hotel), to be changed by room service. When we returned we discovered one of the dirty damp towels folded up ready for reuse as a clean towel. The other damp creased up dirty towel was just slung over the top of the bathroom door, not hung up! We requested the towels be change which took an hour! Generally the staff appeared to be lacking in enthusiasm, poorly trained and rude. All round, Frederick’s rates as one of the poorest hotels we have ever had the misfortune to stay in.

Lovely night at the Frederick's...

Liked: Our stay was a birthday treat for my mum. The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is stylish and clean. Our room (102) was huge! The bed and the pillows were really comfy and the bathroom was spaciois with a bath and big mirrors. Tasty breakfast with a goodvarietyof choice. The spa and the beautiful garden made our stay extra special and relaxing. I would also mention that every single staff member was genuinely helpful and lovely.
Disliked: Although they say there is always room for improvement, I could not mention anything that I did not like about the Frederick's Hotel.

Exceptional

Liked: The whole experience was fab, definitely be back
