Liked: I used to come here all the time before they shut down for a year or two and it was great. I like the location. I like the underground patking, I like the staff and I love the layout of the rooms, they feel like an actual apartment.
Disliked: When I got there, my room was just as hot as it was outside, so I went to adjust the AC and it was spitting out at basically no airflow. I waited like an hour, and it only dropped like point one of a degree and was still like 28° in the room, there’s no way I could sleep or do any my business workThey did act fast and rectify and got me a portable AC unit and that did the trick for the whole day so overall I can’t complain about that and I’m thankful for the speed of service But then my Wi-Fi was absolutely horrible. I couldn’t even check email. I couldn’t do anything. It was like a dead spot in that room in particular. Nobody else was apparently having issues even though I was connected perfectly fine. I ended up moving the desk over to the other side of the room by the patio door and that did the trick, but overall it was very, very slow and would cut in and out for the three days I was there They already had a warning for this and I wasn’t too concerned, but I’ve stayed every hotel in Fort McMurray and I’ve never had as many of those black bugs as I seen this week, I know it’s very hot and that brings out the bugs in even fuller force. Not ideal, but I also know not it’s hard to avoid on the property itself. Power also went out when I was there for four hours, but that wasn’t on them specifically it was the actual town of Fort McMurray itself. The toilet was also difficult to flush something wrong with the lever. I was able to get it but to play around with it every time.
