Liked: Large room, food was very good and the staff were very friendly
Disliked: Unfortunately the room I was in had the kitchen extractor ducting outside and you could hear it, not loud but you could hear it humming and the clearing up noise coming from the kitchen, all quiet by 10ish.

Friendly and comfortable.

Liked: Staff were excellent and went above and beyond to be helpful during my stay, including allowing me to have an early breakfast
Disliked: Shower pressure was not amazing

Liked: Dinner menu was excellent.Breakfast was very good.Room was very small but had everything we needed.
Disliked: A bigger room would have been nice but at time of booking I understood it was all that was available.

This hotel should be marketed...

Liked: Breakfast room was very nice and should be used for dinner for guest that do not have dogs. Very of putting trying to enjoy a evening meal with the wife , when all you can hear is dogs.
Disliked: As above. The room was very small, but we got away with this (just) as we are not very big people.

Liked: Extremely dog friendly accommodation, which made it much more relaxing with our dog in tow. Exceptional food served in the restaurant.

Perfect rural stay for you...

Liked: The hotel isn't run by many people, but the staff they do have put in a real shift, they were all very friendly and helpful, giving us local recommendations etc. The morning breakfast was good, and this is by far the most dog friendly hotel you'll ever go to.
Disliked: Felt a little under-staffed (especially as it was new year's eve). Although the location is beautiful and very rural, I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're looking to do lots of different activities.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, room was bright, very clean, spacious, good linen. The food was excellent, the carvery very good value. The grounds are lovely to walk around. Overall excellent value for money.
