Liked: It was a lovely stay overall, however, the lock on the bathroom door didnt work. Also the bath was set quite "high" - I had to hang onto the sink to get in, and you might want to look at having some kind of handrail to help less stable guests get in.

Overpriced, ridiculously poor offering for...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: We were told breakfast was served until 10 am. We slept in and arrived at 9.45 and there were large pots which should have held the contents of cooked breakfast and they were all empty except for beans, scrambled egg and hash browns. Nothing else was available. What a disgrace! If you claim to serve breakfast until 10am then all options should be available. I have never stayed in any establishment anywhere around the world where I have experienced such poor service and lazy behaviour from the kitchen staff. When I pointed the fact that nothing was available as a cooked option, the girl in the dining room offered to get the chef to cook whatever I wanted. I declined. I do not want to request cooked goods because they couldn't be bothered making all options afforded to other guests due to my arrival at breakfast 15 minutes before the end of breakfast service. Deeply disappointing and would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Terrible Stay – Would Not...

Liked: My experience at this hotel was awful. The shower door didn’t close properly, and to make matters worse, the water wasn’t draining, causing it to overflow and flood the bathroom—and even soak into the carpet in my room. When I contacted reception, I was told there was nothing they could do as the hotel was fully booked. No effort was made to help or offer a solution. To top it all off, I was abruptly woken up at 6:30 AM by a loud fire alarm.The only positive thing I can say is that the location was convenient. Otherwise, I do not recommend staying here.

Nice place, convenient to bus...

Liked: It was a nice place for the night. the breakfast was good and everyone was friendly. Close to Haymarket station was a bonus.
Disliked: The bed was a little to firm.

Ideal Location but Lacking Assistance

Liked: Location is ideal. One can easily get to different location and sight seeing from the hotel. There are different restaurant and shopping options around the hotel.
Disliked: Upon entering, I was surprised to find a honey bee flying around, despite all the windows being closed. I contacted the reception for assistance, but unfortunately, they refused to help. This same issue happened again for the next two days, and I had to deal with it on my own each time. No support was provided by reception or housekeeping, which was quite disappointing and affected the comfort of my stay.

Liked: The room was exactly what we were needed for our short stay in Edinburgh. We had consistent Wi-Fi, a comfy bed and great control over the rooms Air conditioning, which came in handy during a warm spring evening in the city.
Disliked: Sadly, there was quite a lot of noise from the traffic outside the hotel. While it is convenient that the hotel is just a short walk from Haymarket station, there is a lot of traffic that goes to and from the station and past our hotel window. Even with it closed, the noise was still very noticeable.
