Quirky, interesting place, but overpriced
Liked: Location was good. Lots of interesting /quirky art works and the buildings have been restored very well
Disliked: Don’t bother booking the room with the Ocean view - it’s very much in the distance and it means you are close to the main road which is very busy quite early in the morning.

Great location and good wifi...
Liked: Location. Good wifi.
Disliked: Not my kind of place but some would like. Old (not a problem in itself - I have a house built in late 1800's) dark furnishings and crammed full of "things: Felt more like a hostel than 4* B and B. Bed wasn't comfy and strange cubicle with toilet/shower in corner of room. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment but we decided we'd rather eat out.

Full of character and challenge!
Liked: Full of character and quirky , interesting decor. Very comfy bed and excellent much needed aircon, Large room with good seating and wifi connection. Easy walk into main part of town though uphill all the way back perhaps not suitable for all, Parking at hotel easy, Very quiet hotel, guests mainly middle aged and above while we were there.
Disliked: No reception after 1 pm is unreasonable as most people on holiday arrive later than that. Struggled to gain entry and rouse anyone. Phone connection to owner would not work do after 24 hours travelling from uk, we were on doorstep in extreme heat for over an hour and had to walk into town to get someone to use their phone and help us . Owner seemed cross with us rather than helpful. All other guests eating cooked breakfast but we were told we were not eligible because we had booked through booking, con. Continental breakfast was plenty but still felt rather divisive approach. Hotel guide said afternoon tea treats available in fridge , help yourself. Tried to do so at 5;30 pm on return from day out, was challenged by owner who was rather rude to me which was uncomfortable. This is a lovely old building and a different type of stay if you are fed up with corporate sameness of chain hotels but be prepared for the staff to be rather quirky too , sometimes abrupt and cross, other times friendly and helpful!
