Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was lovely. Great location.
Disliked: The fact we were not informed there was no restaurant for an evening meal. The shower in the bath wasn't great.

Would go back again if...

Liked: Staff were great. Quality of food at breakfast was excellent, although a little more choice at the cold table would have been appreciated. Room and bed were both good without being exceptional. The guest reading room was comfortable but as usual not very well used. We didn't use the bar but it looked OK.
Disliked: Other than the comment above about the breakfast, you had to ask for room service which I don't expect in a four star hotel. Most importantly for us, there was no dinner available other than pizza and suchlike.

A brilliant weekend getaway, staff...

Liked: We have rarely enjoyed such an attentive and caring reception. Our dog was welcomed too.
Disliked: All good, no negatives.

Liked: Heated pool was great for the kids Staff were very polite and helpful
Disliked: Food options for dinner weren't great, Better off walking to local hight street for food

Liked: The location was very good and walking distance into Lyndhurst which is obviously a great location for the New Forest, Paultons Park etc. The swimming pool was a bonus and the opening times were 7am until 10pm which was great for children. It was also quite warm which we appreciated.
Disliked: Cooked breakfast is made to order which took quite a long time, so if you have other activities booked in the morning, book an earlier slot. I think there was a new chef so probably a one-off though!
