Liked: It's a great location and has a lot of charm from the outside. But inside the cabins are poorly maintained. The breakfast was poor, but I guess typical for motels. The staff were lovely.
Disliked: The room was not really clean - accumulated dust in the bathroom. The bed sheets were stained and crumpled. The bathroom fittings were extremely old. It was on the wrong side of shabby chic. The toilet blocked and it wasn't my fault!

Ideal location

Liked: Ideal for me as a solo traveller as location at the base of the mountains was ideal. I could do a lot of lovely hikes right from the doorstep and walk into downtown Boulder to explore local restaurants.

Passable

Liked: Foot of the Mountain is next to a great park that has walking trails along Boulder Creek. We loved all the Adirondack chairs around the property. It was so great to sit outside and enjoy the Spring sunshine. We also saw deer in the backyard area.
Disliked: Our room was clean, however it was a bit too rustic for my Mom and I. The rustic vibe was actually rustic needing updates, which contributed to it not feeling clean, even though it was, and needing higher quality linens.

Disliked: Nonstop Smoking neighbor (outside door) with smoke drifting into room.

Adorable cabins in a beautiful...

Liked: The location is beautiful. You can walk right across the street and up a mountain to amazing views. There is a cute park across the street as well. The rooms are comfortable (and adorable). The staff is friendly and attentive.
Disliked: For some reason we lost hot water during the day every day we were there (it was fine first thing in the morning and later in the evening), but the staff was very apologetic about that. It wasn’t a huge deal, but strange.
