Nightmare ~ One after the...

Disliked: Completely misrepresented what they actually provide. The King Suite with partial ocean view that sleeps 4 was hideous. The sofa bed was missing a back cushion, missing the mattress and any bedding so I slept on the top of the sofa and borrowed a robe and jacket for a makeshift pillow. The phone, microwave, refrigerator did not work. The fireplace is intended for looks, no heat comes from it. The bathroom sink and shower stoppers had to be removed or water wouldn't go down the drain. The motel jacuzzi had 5 jets not working and the 3 that worked meant we had to sit side by side to have them on our back. When the power went out and the place was pitch black, the Mgr offered 2 tiny glow sticks from dollar tree for anyone that needed them to light up the room. That was a joke so I bought candles and a lighter from the Shell station in town. There are major construction projects happening in various rooms so if you prefer the sound of a hammer, drill, with workers yelling instead of hearing waves crash then by all means, this is for you. They took a deposit upon check in but refused to provide a receipt for it, refused to provide a receipt when we checked out, then sent one by text a day later with no deposit listed. The windows can't be unlocked and pushed up or the top window pane will drop down. The blinds were all 3 broken and filthy. To get them up, required pulling them up, holding the heavy wooden and plastic blinds up while wrapping the cord around a nail on the side. They provide 1 tiny bar of soap for the bathroom. There was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash for the shower. The room was advertised as handicapped ♿️ accessible but it had a step over tub to shower with no grab bar. No water pressure and it was hard water. The one dim lamp in the living room had a broken shade. The TV had no guide so you had to go channel by channel to see what was on. When we complained, they brought us some sheets and a bottle of white wine.

Disliked: We got there around 2:30, by 5 the electicity went out and hotel basical sad may come back on around 3 am.. no generator for light or heat. I ask for credit to go to another hotel and they said no. We went to dinner in another town and came back around 8 and still no electrity. They were going to give us a flashlight and still saying 3 am......we had to go find another hotel so we didnt freeze. I should get a full credit for this.

Liked: Shoreline location; proximity to Cambria; spacious, comfortable room; fireplace
Disliked: Microwave was useful but some basic kitchen equipment would have been helpful - plates, mugs, silverware. Paper cups and plastic drinking vessels seem very downmarket for the price paid

Liked: I loved how close it was to the ocean The room was clean. I enjoyed the fire place and the quiet.
Disliked: The mattress was well used and sunk a bug in the middle.
