Liked: The hotel is at the middle of old town. Building is so historical. The staff is so gentle and helpful.
Disliked: the carpets at the corridor may be cleaner. Just a little vacuum please.

Comfortable value for money stay.

Liked: The room was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was filling. There was a restaurant for dinner. The hotel wasn’t very far from the centre of Bydgoszcz. The staff were friendly. A toothpaste and toothbrush and a small shaving kit were available in the bathroom. I had a room with a balcony. There was a small gym which I used. There was a sauna available, free for all guests, which I didn’t use. The accommodation was very good value for what was provided during my stay.
Disliked: I found that the en-suite bathroom was quite warm compared to the rest of the room. The shower head was quite low, and being tall, I had to crouch in order to take a shower.

Disappointing

Disliked: In my opinion, this four-star hotel does not deserve its rating in any way. The condition of the carpets is very poor – they are heavily worn out. The wallpaper is peeling in some places, and the walls have been painted, but it’s obvious that it was done decades ago.The room was cold, and there was no way to heat it properly. There was a small portable heater, but it didn’t work. The Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent – it worked worse than mobile internet.Even though I followed the cleaning instructions and hung the request for room cleaning before 10 AM, my room was not cleaned by 3 PM. When I reported it to the reception, I was told it would be cleaned, but it wasn’t – only the next day.The shower was installed above the bathtub but very low, making it impossible to take a shower while standing – I had to bend down or even squat. The bathtub faucet switch was extremely difficult to turn – it required a lot of force because it was simply old and worn out, and it should have been replaced.I’m very sorry, but a four-star hotel comes with certain expectations. I have stayed in two- and three-star hotels where the standard was much better. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed.
