Disliked: When I arrived, I was shown a room and upon inspection I found brown stains on the sheets and a gross orangey red substance on one of the pillows. I asked to switch rooms and was accommodated quickly. Things were going well until just after midnight I hear an electric saw start kicking off, then hammering and banging a few moments later. I went to investigate and found the lobby, which was right below my room, was being renovated in the middle of the night. This seemed absolutely insane to me. I tried to find a staff member and was unsuccessful for about an hour until one fellow came to start prepping breakfast. He simply shrugged and said it was his 2nd day and there wasn't anything he can do as there are no free rooms to move to, and he said the manager will be in at 7. This renovation kept up, and kept me up, literally all night. At 7 I tried to find a manager and was then told 830, or 9 at the latest. At 9, turns out the manager was sick. The front desk got authorization to refund me for that one night, though put up resistance when I said I wanted to refund the upcoming night because I sure wasn't staying there again. They finally relented with the attitude that they were doing me some favor. Booking.com support was also no help at all in this situation. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Liked: Great location, friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful, good sized rooms with large comfortable beds Good breakfast choice and great value for money, comfortable lounge,drinks in bar not over expensive Overall great place to stay with small homely touches everywhere and in fact second time we have used this hotel
Disliked: Only slight negatives pillows slightly small and downstairs toilet could do with a bit of a freshen up

Liked: Such friendly staff , and helped ue with any information or questions we had, when I come back to Brugge this is the only hotel I will stay at.
