Liked: The location was great! Close to the highway and the snowmobile trail goes directly to the hotel. Breakfast was minimal is the only drawback
Disliked: Breakfast only had cereal and toast and instant coffee.

Passable

Liked: Booked a single bed, I had a queen instead
Disliked: Swimming pool was closed due to renovation, it's never been mentioned before booking. Breakfast included but I was at least expecting a hot coffee ...

Liked: Breakfast was included and custom made and delicious!!
Disliked: The pool was closed!! Booked because we wanted a pool but the room had a jacuzzi tub so that helped with the disappointment.

Bad

Liked: Breakfast was meager. I booked the room as pet friendly. I checked in with the front desk without a problem, paid and brought my small terrier dog up to the room. I asked for a room with outside access and was told there was none. I ate dinner in there restaurant then when I took my dog out in the evening for a walk and returned the manager tells me I cannot bring the dog up to the room. We get in an argument, I show him my booking, and his where a pet is included. Ok he says not Iam charging you 25 $ more because of the dog. I ask him to show me anywhere in the hotel's advertising where it says this. He cannot find it, nor can I even on the website. He says well that is the way it is and they charge onto.my visa card despite my objection. I would never go back there or advice a friend. It was far off the highway but selected because it was supposed to be pet friendly. It was not

Our stay was mediocre. Great...

Liked: We really liked the staff, the gentleman on the front desk was fantastic, very friendly and approachable! The beds weren’t comfortable, we hate to complain because staff was nice but it could have been cleaner and definitely needs more up to date decor. Over all our stay wasn’t too bad, we appreciate that you accept animals but there was a cost, I could see if it was a high end hotel that there may be a fee, and there are many nice hotels that accept pets free of charge. Not a huge deal though and you guys were there late when we really needed a place to go as we were driving from Nova Scotia to Quebec and my fiancée got sick during the drive. Thanks for your service, hope this was helpful!
Disliked: I wrote above most of my likes and dislikes but in more detail we didn’t love the bed, it wasn’t very comfortable and neither were the pillows or duvet ( or lack of) to be honest, not what you expect when staying at a hotel, the bed and pillows are often something I look forward to because most hotels have very comfortable bedding and mattresses. Getting new beds and bedding would help tremendously! Along with updating the decor, it’s very dated and that makes it look less desirable, in fact it makes it look cheap. $120 a night wasn’t the best price, it’s actually comparable to more high end hotels, it was just close to where we were while driving when we needed to stop, so we took the chance. Personally I would take away the extra fee for pets because that brings the room up to closer to $150 a night, there are many hotels that accept pets, included in the fee and it is less than $150 for example: Hampton inn and suites accepts pets and is much more luxurious and is roughly $120-$140 a night. One other thing we didn’t understand was having to park in the back when there was tons of parking in the front, in fact we were the only customers there I believe. This isn’t great for people who have many bags or are disabled. Thanks for reading! I Hope this helps!
