Liked: Great hospitality in wonderful surroundings.The stay was fabulous. At least if you like nature I can only recommend to stay there. Clean and spacious rooms and very comfortable beds.Great breakfast and try the dinner option.

Lovely historical accommodation with a...

Liked: The location, the atmosphere and coziness of the rooms. Access to a well-equipped common kitchen and kettle in the room. Bathrobes were much appreciated!
Disliked: My partner is allergic to animals and had a rather strong reaction during the night we stayed. Please make it clearer in the hotel description that cats are allowed not just around but also IN the guest house. It would also be more convenient to have the plates and cups for self-pickup at the breakfast table rather than on the tables.

Liked: Location was great, in the middle of Gaularfjællet Scenic Road, right next to a river and the waterfall trail. The trail was very nice and easy, and there is opportunity to hike much further.The property was clean and well maintained. It was certainly a unique stay that one would remember. Old buildings, with historic furnishings and many objects from the past. Like a small museum, very relatable and makes you think how the time is flying The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay most comfortable, that is appreciated
Disliked: We are a family of 4 (kids ages 6 and 4) and we stayed in a family room on the attic. Unfortunately the dining room is right beneath and we could hear very well the guests having dinner. The kids had hard time falling asleep.I would definitely recommend this place for solo travelers (or generally adults) - it was amazing opportunity to socialize at dinner and breakfast or in the common room - but it can be challenging with smaller kids
