Very enjoyable and lovely gardens...
Liked: Beautiful gardens. Old home with a lot of character. I only stayed one night but would go back again.
Disliked: Stairs up to the loft were very steep and I am used to stairs but if you weren’t it could be rather hard to navigate with luggage.

Charm n quiet place to...
Liked: little bit more as like bacon & scramble egg but still good enough. Garden and historic building and owners passion are all impressive. As I am a 25 years in Hotel industry, great accommodation in countryside. Strong recommendation to all travellers to go & stay .
Disliked: Reception desk too far inside office.

Wonderful historical building - you...
Liked: Amazing historical property, with a brilliant internal historical walk exploring the public rooms, cellars and grounds. John is a wonderful host - warm and welcoming. A delightful serve-yourself continental breakfast is provided, with a grain loaf that was the freshest bread I’ve ever enjoyed in a hotel anywhere in the world. It was surely still hot when collected that morning. Yum. Bed was comfortable, my room (Room 4) was a quirky big attic room. I liked it.
Disliked: The conditioner in my shower was kind of curdled, and ‘burst’ when I squeezed it, pushing the lid out and ending up in a blob on the shower floor. Yes, I know - it’s a first-world problem. It didn’t spoil my stay.
