Charming and wonderful!

Liked: The House was beautiful and the staff were efficient and very warm and friendly. The grounds are also very beautiful. The food was superb and equal to their awards and reputation. It had a beautiful presentation and was creative and so amazing to eat.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Everyone very welcoming, kind, friendly.Comfortable bed. Provided all we needed.
Disliked: Room was small and bedroom chair awkward to move

Lovely hotel. Let down by...

Liked: Upgraded room which was lovely. View from the room lovely at this time of year, as so many trees. Great location easy drive to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall & Matlock.
Disliked: For a so called top of the range hotel, the breakfast was adequate. Nothing special at all.

Liked: We thought the place was quite beautiful and wasn't expecting beautiful gardens as well. The food was very nice. Excellent staff. Interior was interesting and exceptional. A talking point. Memorable place. Definitely recommend.

Luxury country house and super...

Liked: Beautiful grounds. Adequate parking. Attentive staff. Comfortable bed . Good toiletries. Excellent restaurant. Strange it lost its Michelin star- very much of that standard.
