Home away from home

Liked: Homely, stylish, comfortable, clean, loved our room! Comfortable bed! Everything was just so good! We had a delicious dinner and a breakfast. We felt at home.
Disliked: Everything was perfect

Nice hotel, a little disappointing.

Liked: Staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good.
Disliked: The building and rooms could use a renovation. The window in the room was locked so we couldn’t air the room at all during our stay.A lot of light came through the window curtain and even the room door.There is no elevator so we had to carry our suitcases ourselves to the second floor. They made us leave the key at the reception every time we left the hotel for the day which was a bit odd. Every morning we had to wait around 30’ to be served our breakfast (pancakes, porridge, nothing super fancy), even if the restaurant was mostly empty.

Liked: The location and parking on site was good. Room was a good size, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Stairs.

Nice hotel but food needs...

Liked: This is the second time we have stayed here and it’s in a great location. Staff are exceptional.
Disliked: Unfortunately the food menu is dated and needs a revamp. Too much fried food. I am vegetarian and there were very limited options. The one thing on menu that was vegetarian- green pesto pasta dish I had and it was not edible, bland and pasta over cooked. Tried having the soup option but when they have the same soup from 2 days ago and I didn’t think it would toast any better I declined. Roast Sunday - no vegetarian options

Liked: W came for lunch as we arrived early afternoon - fish and chips - excellent.The staff on duty made sure our room was cleaned early so we could rest before an event that night.
Disliked: The wardrobe of the mirrored glass doors would not slide.

Liked: room was comfortable and well insulated. Heard no noise despite there being a busy public restaurent and bar downstairs
Disliked: our order for breakfast on day one was forgotten and had to remind the staff member after about a half hour wait. no acknowledgement or apology for the delay.
