Budget motel .Cheap and cheerful

Liked: Within walking distance of city (40 mins).Cheap.The manager/housekeeper couldn't do enough for us and the handyman was very efficient
Disliked: This motel has great potential but at the moment it is a work in progress. It has previously been used as emergency accommodation, but the owner is working hard to upgrade the property, but it's not quite there yet This was reflected in the price we paid.There was an intermittent fault with a power socket. We were immediately offered a different unit which had been freshly painted.Room lights were poor

Superb

Liked: We liked that we had our own apartment for little amount of money, not far from Christchurch center.Our expectations were exceeded and we would recommend this accommodation to young people that are looking for a cheap place for the night in Christchurch.

Good

Liked: The rooms were generously sized. The coffee, tea and sugar sachets were much appreciated in the rooms. The rooms both had stove tops and ovens to use for cooking. We chose to check out earlier than 9am as we had travel to do all day and the hosts were happy for us to do this. The overall cleanliness of the rooms was fine but the shower could've been cleaned better
Disliked: Some of the other rooms were being renovated so the premises was a little bit of a mess which was slightly off putting. Not sure if it's like that all the time or if was because of the renovations. There was also gang related signs on some of the furniture which was outside of the rooms on the property. Some of the elements on the stove top were a bit broken but this didn't really impact our stay.
