Liked: I loved the spacious room and the gorgeous view. Breakfast spread was amazing and served at the table every day by the most gracious staff. Everybody was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Not 5-star quality service but...

Liked: Room was spacious and mostly clean. Walls were bright white, and our room had a window, we had enough lights even in nighttime which was good because only reason we stayed in this hotel was because the hotel I originally booked for 6 nights in Paris was way too dark like a haunted mansion, and we had to evacuate the next morning. Only this Fauchon hotel was available for 5 nights in straight, in the price range of around 1000 euro a night. The room service man, I forgot to ask his name, he was very nice and kept his words. He brought teas every morning and helped to make our stay somewhat comfortable. Thank you.
Disliked: Some hotel staff didn't seem to know how services are like in "5 star" hotels. Reception people, especially. They were slow in general, and always do what they could, as minimum as they could, and I didn't observe anyone trying to do beyond or even to their best, or to their "standard" if there was such thing as standard. Maybe it was because we were staying in the lowest price room. Or maybe because we looked poor or because we are Asian. I don't know. A girl at the reception always opened the front door for Her customer and shut it in front of my eyes. Not only once. She could let it close by itself, but she needed to push the door to shut it for me. It almost made me chuckle after some time... Like I was always invisible to her eyes.I asked for a clock to see the time in the room. The girl in the reception said "Use your phone to see the time" ... i was like "yeah thats what I am doing now.. how else do you think I know the time..." She sounded like she didnt understand why anyone would ask for a clock in 2024. Don't you have a clock in your house? Don't you want to see the time without checking your iphone? 5 Star hotel is home away home. This hotel doesnt and staff doesnt understand it at all.Some room service requests never happened even they said they would bring it right away, nobody did. Even when they did bring, it was mostly too late.Tea bags were provided every day, but the cups were so small. I asked for larger teacups, and they gave it to me, but the cleaning lady took it in the night. I cleaned it, dried it, placed it in the drawer and they had to take it.The person who showed us the room at the check in said the room was very quiet one however it was not quiet at all. We kept hearing very loud siren of ambulance throughout our stay, 24hrs. It still ringers in my ears! Paris is not quiet city but the room we had was very difficult to relax. There must be emergency hospitals nearby.
