Peaceful comfortable stay.

Liked: Nice spacious comfortable room for me, my partner and our dog. Very quiet. No noise at night. Great location, lovely grounds. Good breakfast, gave me vegetarian sausages when I asked if there was a non meat option (was not on menu). Comfortable bed, hot shower. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. One night stay on way to Lakes, to break up journey.
Disliked: Nothing. Happy with all.

A great peaceful getaway a...

Liked: Excellent- well cooked and good quality. If being critical the range of options for vegetarians was possibly a little restrictive for vegetarian. Great coffe though and nice juice available. Housekeeping excellent - room was very clean. All staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful country house - pretty setting
Disliked: Some bathroom fittings a little dated but nothing that spoiled our stay.

Friendly staff but tired building.

Liked: Staff were great, friendly without being overly so. Food was good whether it be breakfast, conference food, lunch or bar snacks.
Disliked: The rooms were a bit tired. I was in room 27. Shower cubicle is tiny and difficult to access as opens at the corners rather than the door, bathroom mirror has faded away over the years and mattress could definitely be refreshed.

Liked: The staff we great, especially the receptionist. She was really lovely, really engaging and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the location was good
Disliked: The hotel is very tired looking. There was damp on the walls above the window in my room and it is very dated. It was clean enough but felt very basic which is a shame as I attended a wedding there 20 years ago and it was fabulous then. I
