Disappointing
Liked: Train station right next to hotel.
Disliked: Paid a lot for a jacuzzi room...round bed was so uncomfortable as it is too short. Bath the same - and no shower. Have to use a shower room across hall. Real disappointment. Meant to be a 25th romantic anniversary and the decor was so old in bathroom (clean) but poor. Mini fridge items (crisps) out of date.We came in Feb, they dated for Dec previous year!! I didn't say anything about it because one receptionist - female with glasses was so dry and unfriendly. Other staff very helpful. Breakfast server was fantastic (grey haired man), so attentive and funny. The male receptionist was also attentive and friendly. We tried to get a coffee in bar after breakfast and were told not open till 12.30pm by grumpy receptionist. The breakfast server went out his way to make us free coffee. He was honestly the saving grace. You can hear everything in the hotel in the room which was not great in the evening or really early. Maybe good value if you book a different room, but for £556 for 3 nights, I feel a bit robbed tbh! Bathroom suite needs upgrading for the price, as does the bed. Nice idea but so impractical. Actual breakfast food was so basic, didn't seem like fresh produce and unfortunately I got a big black hair in mine on the first day! Deffo not ours as I have blonde hair! At least the server was lovely! Not value for money they ask for the jacuzzi suite. Shame as I don't like writing negative reviews. They also really need to give female with glasses some training in people skills!

Great hotel, great staff lovely...
Liked: So many things i could say that i liked the location is fantastic great sunsets across loch etive and beyond .Perfectly placed to visit oban or glencoe and beyond are within reasonable distance. Then on return you can relax infront of an open fire in the bistro or residents lounge. The staff are all fantastic from the girls at check-in to Soufiane the bistro manager and his team who are great food is fantastic we ate the all 3 nights of our stay and we both enjoyed every meal and the great service we got.The breakfast team are the same we had Roud on fri and sat such a nice guy we felt well looked afternice to sit enjoy the view at breakfast good variety of options to suit most tastes.Room was clean and tidy and well appointed rest of the hotel is the same and old building that has been nicely looked after a great place to come and relax an independent hotel that makes you feel like a guest rather than just another number and face through the door. Many thanks to all at The Falls of Lora for a great stay.
Disliked: The only thing i didn't like was the fact that we couldn't have stayed there longer .But definitely plan to return.
