Liked: I value privacy everytime i stay with upscale hotels. This Fairmont in Downtown Vancouver is quite old and you can hear voices of people walking in the hallway. Doors has big gap in between the floor and the door which is why you can hear all voices of people in hallway. Not highly recommendable especially if you value privacy and quite time. This is the only Fairmont i've been so far that did not meet my expectation. First and last for this branch. Might book though to different fairmont as they have a better facilities.
Disliked: Very noisy, i can hear all people chatting in the hallway.

Liked: The Fairmont is located downtown near everything; museums, the new mall, Stanley Park and the harbor. The updated Resturant/bar and main floor look amazing; love the lighting.
Disliked: The pool area needs an update, looks dated.Unfortunately, the spa was closed for renovation. Looking forward to seeing the new spa area.

It was fine.

Liked: Breakfast was a bit bland but the service was good. I was seated around the back in a booth for 4 people. This is not an uncommon experience for an older single person.
Disliked: I found the toiletries provided by the hotel to have a very strong rose scent. I couldn't use them. I also would have appreciated more up-front information on the parking options.
