Lovely time at Fairmont as...

Liked: Beautiful as any other Fairmont hotels we’ve been to. We love the old world glamour while being also modern and immaculate. Location was the best—very accessible to everything. Morning/afternoon front desk were so lovely and helpful. Special thanks to Alexander for being extremely accommodating any time we asked about anything—his demeanour and customer service was paramount. The kids really enjoyed the beautiful art deco pool! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Ottawa.
Disliked: There were certain times that only one out of the five elevators were working so it took some time waiting for it (if it was too full of going the wrong direction). Also a stark contrast to our experience with the rest of the staff, the front desk lady in ponytail at 3am (Feb 1, Saturday) appeared and sounded very uninterested to help (maybe cos of the hour but she was bordering unpleasant) but when we asked for a cab requested to take us to the airport from the hotel, she told us she already booked it and 15 minutes after our requested time, no cab came at all so we just ordered Uber.

Disliked: I asked for mine and my colleagues rooms to be close together which was not fulfilled . I was on the 2nd floor, room 203 and my colleague was on the 6th floor! Not close at all! Also there was noise going on in the room next to me and I couldn't get to sleep for most of the night. It was sounded like a few people chatting, laughing. Perhaps it was the staff room, that's what it sounded like

Liked: The bartender at Zoe’s was exceptional. Kind. Courteous. Helpful. Attentive. Organized. Facilitated a vegan meal request with the chef for me. I found him exceptional. Thanks Roman !!! Special thanks to the chef on duty on Saturday January 26 who went off script to arrange and make a delicious vegan meal for me on request. It was amazing.
Disliked: I found the bed linen very scratchy. Honestly Weston beds are better and without a doubt the bedding is far better.
