I would definitely go back. I liked to walk around Old Town then go back and rest, then do it all again!
Liked: Clean rooms; nice view; right there in Old Town; easy access to freeways and our venue; had refrigerator and coffee maker -PLUS, PLUS, PLUS.
Disliked: A little noisey with some kids running and talking loud but not too bad.

We had a great experience in this hotel. The room was clean and smelled good. My favorite part was the bed. The mattres was super comfortable. The location was perfect. It's right next to lots of shops and restaurants. We'd definitely stay there again.
Liked: Love the location.

Poor shabby shady unsafe motel...
Liked: Excellent staff at front desk...but that and beauty of courtyard were only two good things. Everything else extremely poor. The property is completely worn out. While getting turned on, HVAC system would make noise so high that you'd think two trucks got into a collision. Further, there were dozens of teenager guests who keep on making loud noises but no one checked them. There was no security guard and I believe being an open motel type structure, this place is unsafe - rather dangerous to stay. I had booked for two nights but left the next morning as I could not stay at such a property especially with kids. Once again, the staff was great but it is a poorly managed property. I was surprised how Marriott has given its name to a shabby and shady property like this.

Very good
Liked: Great location for Old Town and quick overnight stay for airport.
Disliked: Had a bad experience with the man at reception at 4:30 pm April 7. I had returned rental car and couldn't get my uber app to work. Was alone in sketchy area (Sun Diego Car Rentals - which was closed). All alone. Called husband back at hotel and he asked front desk if they could call an uber for me or a taxi and he was told no. He was finally able to get through to a taxi service and get me picked up. Disappointing.

Disliked: We stood in room 103, when we went to shower next morning we noticed mold on the side of shower near the toilet. Also out bed sounded like it was going to break at the end.

Disliked: A bit shabby in places. Where's the bar?

When we checked in on...
Liked: Where it was located
Disliked: I didn’t like how the housekeeping basically kept telling me I needed to be out of my room when I had a late check out. There was no communication at all.

Great value and relatively close...
Liked: Quiet and quaint. Near everything in San Diego (if you have a car and trolly accessible for most places if you do not). Also has a hot tub and a pool (small) and comfortable beds. Terrific breakfast.
Disliked: Our room was a little sub ground with a window but below street level. I would ask for a room on the upper floor next time.
